Colour Landscape Photography

Color photogaphy is able to capture a true representation of a scene, and has been a favourite of landscape photographers for many years. Capturing the sublte changes in hue throught the day, and across the seasons; the reds and golds of sunset and autumn, the cool blues and pinks of winter and dawn.

However for creative landscape photography monochrome has been favoured by fine art photographers, The ability to previsualise a finished print and bring the final landscape photograph into reality at the printing stage was far easier and more practical with monochrome.

The dawn of the digital era brought with it the ability to manipulate color landscape photographs in the same way as mono. This as brought me back to color landsape photography. I now switch between the two mediums using the most appropriate to recreate the scene, sometimes producing copies in both.
