The colour gallery contains – you guessed it! Colour photographs. Colour photography was something that I stayed away from for a few years after I had discovered the darkroom, and what was achievable with black and white.
Digital photography has changed all of that. I now have the same control over colour photography that I have with monochrome. This has added to the number of opportunities to create an image. Now the subject and location decide on the best medium to use – images that would not work in black and white are often suited to colour photography.
In many ways digital photography has started a decline in black and white photography as many new photographers are starting with digital and staying with colour having never experienced traditional darkroom work.
In the BN-Images colour photography gallery you will be able to find a full range of images covering in particular Landscapes and the Lake District, aircraft, and many others.
The prints are produced to very high standards. Many photographers and printers have spent a lot of time trying to recreate the quality of a traditionally produced print on photographic paper from the darkroom using inkjet technology. BN-Images avoid these problems by having the images printed directly onto photographic paper from the digital file.
Images can also be purchased as digital files by request. Enjoy browsing the images.
