About The Photography Bookshop.
The Photography bookshop has been created by a photographer for photographers. Many photographers, traditional and digital at some point need technical advice and maybe more importantly inspiration. Photography books can be a great source of both.
I have selected a range of books that will both inspire and educate. Inspiration comes from the colour mountain and landscape photography books from Colin Prior. Colin Priors books on the world’s wild places and Scotland are an inspiration to all colour landscape and mountain photographers. Charlie Waite is probably the most well know English Landscape photographer, his work has a global reach and books cover techniques, locations from England to Namibia in colour and monochrome. Charlie Waite has also produce a stunning black and white book displaying a collection of his more personal work. A bookshop covering landscape photography would not be complete without a selection of books from the monochrome master Ansel Adams. Adams also produced color work, much of it has never been seen, Harry Callahan has reproduced some of the best in a book for you to enjoy. UK Based photographer Lee Frost is often seen in the popular photographic press offering technical help and advice. He is also author and co-author of many photography guides; some of the best can be purchased through the photography bookshop.
The photography bookshop is based mainly around outdoor photography, the landscape and nature; specialist sections carry the leading titles from these subject areas. Technical support is available to all in the digital photography section, where you can purchase software for image editing at great prices. The latest versions of Photoshop CS3, both standard and the Extend Photoshop CS3 edition are available. Other editing and cataloguing software from adobe is also available to purchase, Lightroom, and Photoshop’s little brother Elements. The complexity of image editing software means that a good well written guide is essential. Martin Evening is author of Adobe Photoshop CS3 for photographers, and CS2 for photographers. This book is exactly what it says a book for photographers, it sits within arms reach of my workstation at all times. Photography is about taking pictures and other title cover:
